Move Move Collaborative

We recognize that making a dance intensive free helps people participate. However, it does not help professional or semi-professional artists take time away from making money to support themselves in order to take a workshop. We recognize that we live inside the borders of a nation that has exacted and continues to exact systematic and brutal violence on Black people in the name of business-as-usual. 

In an effort to tip the scales of justice toward balance, we begin our efforts to compensate artists by offering three Black experimental dance artists $250 dollar stipends to participate in The Move Move Collaborative. We are committed to making Move Move Collaborative an experience that is rooted in equity, as well as experimentation. 

Recipients have included - Sifu Sun, Imani Shabazz, Elliot Reed, Safra Tadesse, Ashley Shey, and Sun English.
